For parents
Information for parents
They are going on their graduation trip. You should feel safe at home.
For many, the graduation trip is the first longer journey on their own, and we know that raises questions at home. Here we have gathered what matters most for you as a parent, from the trip and the accommodation to safety, insurance and the help available on site. So that they can focus on making memories for life, while you know they are in safe hands.

Safe all the way
A graduation trip should be full of new experiences, late nights and memories for life. Behind all of that there is also a team working to make the trip feel secure from departure to homecoming.
Our team is available during the trip for questions, practical problems and situations that come up on site. Before departure the travellers are told who to contact and where to turn if they need help. For the fastest communication we use WhatsApp, where every group has its own group chat with our team.
How to reach us
The group chat and the travel information go to the traveller, because it is their booking and they are an adult. As a parent you reach us directly at:
- info@studentresor.se
- Phone
- 042-424 04 71
- Opening hours
- Weekdays 15:00–19:00, weekends 13:00–16:00
During the trip week the fastest route is often through your son or daughter, who has both the group chat and all the practical information in their traveller portal. Ask to see it before departure.
Every traveller is an adult
Every traveller must have turned 18 on the day of departure. It is the age when the trip leaves that counts, not the age at the time of booking.
If they are under 18 on the day they book, booking is still possible. Your name, email and phone number are entered during booking, and you receive an email from us straight away with the trip details and a link where you approve the booking as guardian. You do not need to contact us in advance.
From Sweden to Croatia
We want the journey to be simple from the very start. Before departure the travellers receive clear information about flight times, meeting point, transfer and arrival.
The transfer between the airport and the accommodation is included in the trip. On site our team guides the travellers and makes sure they have the information they need for the week.
The accommodation
The accommodation is an important part of the trip. Before departure the travellers receive information about their accommodation, the address and other practical details that are useful during the stay.
Travellers who choose Seglingsveckan stay on board a catamaran together with their own group. On board there is a professional skipper with crew, responsible for the boat and the navigation throughout the week. The travellers never sail the boat themselves.
Alcohol and responsibility
Nightlife and partying are part of the graduation trip for many of our travellers. Local laws and age limits apply at our destinations for serving alcohol and for entry to nightclubs.
At our own events we work together with our partners on site to create as safe an environment as possible. We have staff nearby, and alcohol-free alternatives are always available for anyone who does not want to or cannot drink alcohol.
Outside our own events, each restaurant, bar or nightclub is responsible for its own service of alcohol and for checking age limits. We therefore cannot take responsibility for what is served at external venues. At the same time every traveller carries their own responsibility for their drinking and their behaviour.
We encourage an open conversation at home about alcohol, boundaries and looking after both yourself and your friends during the trip.
Insurance
Every traveller is responsible for holding valid insurance cover during the trip. Check in good time what the family home insurance covers and whether additional travel cover is needed.
We also recommend the European Health Insurance Card, which gives the right to care on the same terms as residents of the country. It is issued free of charge by the national health insurance authority and takes a few weeks to arrive, so apply in good time.
Studentresor Flex
For Splitveckan, Studentresor Flex can be added for SEK 495 per person at the time of booking. Flex is not an insurance. It means that the traveller avoids the remaining instalments if the trip is cancelled before the final payment date. Amounts already paid are not refunded.
If something happens
Even on the best planned trip, unexpected things can happen. Someone may fall ill, lose something or need help with a situation at the destination. The traveller should not have to solve everything alone. Our team is available to help and to guide them further depending on what has happened.
In an emergency, local authorities and emergency services must always be contacted first. The emergency number is 112 throughout the EU, including Croatia.
Travel guarantee
Studentresor is operated by Studentlife Nordics ApS and is registered with the Danish Rejsegarantifonden under reg. no. 3866. This means your payments are protected should we become insolvent, and that travellers are helped home if that were to happen while the trip is under way. Read more about the travel guarantee.
Before departure
Go through this together before departure:
- A valid passport or national ID.
- Valid travel insurance.
- The European Health Insurance Card.
- Access to the travel documents, which are in the traveller portal.
- That you are entered as the emergency contact in the portal.
The last point is the most important. The emergency contact is who we call if something happens, and the field is empty for the great majority of our travellers. Ask them to enter you.
Questions from parents
We understand that it can feel like a big step when someone sets off on their first longer journey alone. You are always welcome to get in touch if there is anything you are wondering about before the trip, whether it concerns the booking, the accommodation, the journey or what happens on site.
